This is the first study to examine the stencil lettering used by the Fokker aircraft factories up to 1918. Size, form, arrangement and development of the respective markings of the airplanes are dealt with here.
This essay also covers eight individual plates of the respective font at a scale of 1/1, which are available from the author on request as a .TIFF file for printing in original size.
Model builders in particular attach great importance to the authentic design of the paintwork on their models, some of which are excellent anyway.
Incorrect markings are always a particular annoyance here. This small volume is intended to help counteract this problem, at least for Fokker aircraft.

One of the most innovative aircraft by Fokker. Passed over by history itself, this aircraft formed the basis for all further Fokker aircraft,
and provided ideas and design paths that extended into the construction of commercial aircraft of the 1930s. Glider construction of the early 1960s also used methods that originated here.
The V.1 is the ancestor of such famous fighters as the Fokker triplane, the Fokker D.VII or the Fokker E.V/D.VIII. The latter is the perfection of this highly interesting aircraft design.
Our volume, prepared by Gerry Mos, shows the technology, gives background on the testing and the materials used. No tiny leap of a quantum, but so far ahead of it´s time,
that the own potential was never fully exploited because of the - even today - futuristic appearance.
You are interested in aircraft development - here you go.

The last secrets will be revealed in
this complimentary Volume. 80 more images underline what else must be said about this
design. Imaculate colour profiles show the true way of how the wing´s surface was
stained. For the very first time for almost one hundred years the camouflage pattern of
this wing is shown on a reproduction aircraft. This book explains, what this remarkable
camouflage scheme is all about.
Furthermore this book describes how
such an aircraft is reconstructed and certified in modern days. It features load tests and
other examinations before an certificate of airworthyness is issued.
Colour plates define the colours of
the printed fabric. Originally called "Flugzeugstoff" (aircraft fabric) this
pattern today is often wrongly known "lozenge" type camouflage.

illustrate the history and usage of this fighter plane as well as the unfortunate wing
failures at front line units during the introduction phase of this new fighter. The
